A new LED light bulb from Grote Industries suggests eco-lighting has a bright future.
For homeowners who want to go green without sacrificing the warm quality of lights in their houses, a new product may bring good news. Grote Industries has introduced a new
LED lamp that promises an ambient output.
The LED light
bulbs are the same size and shape of more traditional PAR 36 bulbs currently used in homes, but they offer users almost 100 times the lifespan - lasting for about 40,000 hours. Grote officials estimate this will translate into a savings of about $600 in replacements per light bulb, reports SkyNewsWire.com.
The beam patterns offered by 36 Trilliant LED lamps have been specifically designed to focus light in unique ways. This means that users can choose between a wide flood or TractorPlus beam pattern so the light can be optimized for different spaces and unique applications.
On top of all of these features, bulbs will offer homeowners reduced energy consumption thanks to this innovative application of LED technology, so electricity bills can be significantly reduced.
The new technology might help the LED market reach its predicted potential. According to a report from LEDs magazine, the LED market is expected to hit $1 billion before the ban on
incandescent light bulbs takes effect in 2012.
