Buildings along London's Southbank are illuminated by LED lighting.
Visitors of London's County Hall can now enjoy the full height of the impressive Edwardian baroque facade, day or night, thanks to Philips ColorReach Powercore, exterior
LED flood lighting.
London's County Hall was once the headquarters for the city's local government, but today it is better known as a tourist attraction. The six story historic buildings are now illuminated every evening by Philips ColorReach bulbs, which provide exceptional lighting projection of up to 500 feet, meaning passersby can appreciate the landmark well after the sun goes down.
Moreover, the ColorReach lights easily accommodate corporate clients who frequently rent space in the area for their own events and wish to change the colors to match their brands.
Visitors and London natives, alike, are pleased with the results. Peter Castelton, Managing Director of Metropolitan Estates explains the ColorReach lighting, "provides saturated color output at significantly less cost for installation, operation and maintenance than traditional light sources - and in todays current economic climate these cost elements simply cannot be ignored."
The new ColorReach lighting of the County Hall also provides a sense of cohesion with another popular site along London's Southbank. The London Eye has used LEDs to maximize its nighttime appeal for years.
