Dimming has been the bane of
compact fluorescent light bulbs for a long time, but not anymore with the release of TCP's TruDim line! TruDim CFLs can dim from 100% down to 2%, with no flicker in between. I remember the first time I used a regular CFL with a dimmer switch; it wasn't pleasant. Crackling and popping noises made it seem like something was going to explode.
TruDim CFLs have completely done away with the crackling and flickering. They're as smooth and pleasant to dim as any incandescent light bulb, plus they're available in a variety of color temperatures. Another thing detractors like to complain about regarding CFLs is the time it takes to reach full brightness; TCP has accomplished quite a feat with their InstaBright technology, which allows their TruDim CFLs to reach full brightness in 25 seconds!
