I've always thought Christmas Lights were beautiful. I remember as a child driving around the neighborhoods looking at them and being in awe. I guess at some point, I stopped noticing them. Until now...
I have four young children, and a couple of weeks ago we were driving around our neighborhood for "Light Night", a celebration of homes that displayed brilliant Christmas Lights. My kids were thrilled! They loved the Candy Canes, Icicle Lights, lit up Santas and animated lights.
From a distributor's point of view, I was very observant to the varieties that are now available. No longer do you only see miniature strings and classic C7 and C9 lights. There were so many amazing light displays around. What really stood out were the LED Christmas Strings. When you see a couple of houses next to each other where one has the classic mini lights and one has LEDs, the difference is really quite apparent. The LED lights were so bold and bright, they actually made the classic incandescent styles look dim. My kids even said they loved them the best! Historically, you might see reds, greens and white colors, but this year there was an abundance of sharp looking blue and purple colors.
I found it interesting that I can work around these lights all day and forget how they really add to the "Christmas Spirit" and create an atmosphere that is warm and inviting. :)
Merry Christmas!
