High bay lighting -- It's not really a common term in normal life situations, but when someone starts talking about lighting for a business, it's less rare. High bay light fixtures are ones that are designed to be mounted on ceilings that are high off the ground. Some common examples of this would be a large warehouse, an airplane hangar, or a gymnasium. They can be built to support fluorescent, compact fluorescent, or metal halide light bulbs.
(note: I can understand where the "high" part comes from, but why "bay"?)
I always think of my old gymnasium lights when I talk about this topic, because we'd always try to kick a ball high enough to hit the high bay lights at the top of the gym. I think I managed to hit them a couple times, but thankfully they had cages to protect them from mischievious children like me. ;-)
If your company uses high bay light fixtures, you can get all your replacement light bulbs and ballasts here. Do a search for the manufacturer code, which is always found on the bulb itself, or if that doesn't work, call us and we'll help you figure out which one to order.
