T8 fluorescent tube lamps are very common light bulbs that most consumers probably have not purchased (they're used mostly in commercial applications). They're in nearly every business and office building out there, so any upgrade to T8 light bulb efficiency will eventually manifest in those locations whether it's a retrofit or just replacing burnt out lamps. Eiko's selection of energy efficient T8 upgrades benefits not only businesses and consumers, but the environment as well.
LED Light Bulbs and Technology
LED lighting technology is utilized in Eiko's LED Linear Refits. Each of these four foot tube lights contains two line arrays of flat LEDs that provide light so similar to the lamps they replace that you can't really tell the difference. LED light bulbs are making inroads everywhere! The LED Linear Refits from Eiko boast extreme long life, which reduces maintenance costs through less frequent re-lamping. As with all LED technology, these LED light bulbs contain no toxic materials such as mercury, nor do they emit harmful levels of IR or UV light. Eiko's LED Linear Refits maintain consistent light output even with fluctuations in line voltages, and are made to be shock and vibration resistant, increasing survivability.
Energy Efficient Options
Conventional fluorescent options from Eiko include the 25 and 28 watt energy efficiency-optimized T8 lamps. These fluorescent tubes are CEE and TCLP compliant, meaning their lumen output meets energy efficiency standards and they also meet standards for reduced environmental impact. Outstanding energy efficiency is standard with these lamps, as is long life. Energy saving 25 watt and 28 watt tube fluorescents from Eiko will save you money not only on energy bills, but also on lamp replacements as they will occur very infrequently.
A smaller form of 25 watt tube fluorescents is available from Eiko in the new T5 format. While most 25 watt tube fluorescents suffer from specific compatibility issues and parameters (temperature must be just right, voltage cannot fluctuate, etc), Eiko's T5 lamps have been engineered to be much more robust and operate efficiently in far more situations. Eiko also offers T5 retrofit endcaps to allow T5 fluorescent tubes to replace T8 and T12 installations.
