T8 fluorescent tube lamps are very common light bulbs that most consumers probably have not purchased (they're used mostly in commercial applications).  They're in nearly every business and office building out there, so any upgrade to T8 light bulb efficiency will eventually manifest in those locations whether it's a retrofit or just replacing burnt out lamps.  Eiko's selection of energy efficient T8 upgrades benefits not only businesses and consumers, but the environment as well.

LED Light Bulbs and Technology

A smaller form of 25 watt tube fluorescents is available from Eiko in the new T5 format.  While most 25 watt tube fluorescents suffer from specific compatibility issues and parameters (temperature must be just right, voltage cannot fluctuate, etc), Eiko's T5 lamps have been engineered to be much more robust and operate efficiently in far more situations.  Eiko also offers T5 retrofit endcaps to allow T5 fluorescent tubes to replace T8 and T12 installations.
