The bright white lighting from 5000K and similar color temperatures allows products to stand out and look great. Compact fluorescents use very little energy to provide lumens equivalent to incandescents, and this also means they generate very little heat. These two attributes combined make for immense savings on business energy bills.

 

If you're retrofitting a current space, consider both CFLs and LED light bulbs. Both types of light bulb are able to retrofit nearly any fixture in which you're already using incandescents. The light makes everything look better than when under incandescents, and it gives a clean modern look to any new or current business. LEDs are the best option for spot lighting and shifting focus to a specific zone, while CFLs are the best choice for wider, room-filling light.  These niche roles will change as technology improves.

 

Incandescents have been the standard for a long time, but new lighting technology has finally made it clear how wasteful and inefficient incandescents are. LEDs have a very high price point right now, so it's probably better to consider CFLs. In time LED light bulbs will come down in price and most likely dethrone compact fluorescent light bulbs.  Whichever energy efficient technology is chosen, it will provide immense savings in multiple areas.
