There are so many light bulbs on eLightBulbs.com that creative lighting is a simple matter. Every room in your home is a new source of creativity. Just take a look around and see what comes to mind!
I’ve always enjoyed
black lights. The way they illuminate dust and other particles we cannot normally see is fascinating. Black lights are also great for parties or events, whether as a novelty or just to set an area apart. I’ve seen them used to great effect for Halloween parties; they add a unique atmosphere. I would recommend compact fluorescent black lights; their effect is much stronger than incandescent black lights.
Party lights contribute to creative lighting as well. They are just painted incandescent lights, but there is a wide variety of colors available to mix and match. I had an idea while writing this blog to put different colored bulbs very close to each other and then see if the resulting general
light becomes a combination, e.g. a blue and yellow light bulb turned on in very close proximity would result in a general ambient light of green. I’ve never tried it, but I think it would probably work. Then again, you could just buy a green light bulb, but the idea does open up possibilities.
Novelty light bulbs are quite interesting. There are incandescent bulbs with specifically crafted shapes inside that block portions of the light coming out of the bulb to create silhouettes on the wall! Some even contain words like “I love you”. That may be a bit corny, but I’d probably use it for wooing. There are some really interesting novelty lights available. I’d recommend checking them out and seeing what else you can find for some creative lighting.
