Specialty fluorescent task lighting is a great way to get the light
you need for a specific area. One of the most popular light bulbs for this
application are the F13T5 fluorescent light bulbs. Because of their slim
size, they've been used in task lighting or display lighting for many years. The
F13T5 bulb will be 5/8 inches in diameter and

inches long. The F13T5 is the standard cool white or warm white
lamp that's been used in task lighting and other types of tight areas. As with all
fluorescent bulbs, they rely on ballasts inside of the fixtures in order to make
them work. Almost all fixtures for these bulbs
come with ballasts already mounted and wired. The ballast is important because
it is specific for each type of lamp. You can't change from one type of
fluorescent to another without changing the ballast in most cases.
In the case of F13T5 fluorescent light bulbs, the magnetic ballast
and the lamp
are matched electrically. The F13T5 fluorescent bulbs
typically operate on a magnetic ballast and there is no upgrade to an electronic
ballast unless you change to a different lamp as well. Look for this lamp commonly used in a display
lighting situation, but we also have other lamps which are replacing this one as
a display lighting standard. We have this bulb available in several different lengths and
they are sometimes labeled as F13T5CW or F13T5WW.
As mentioned before, F13T5 light bulbs have been used in many types of lighting
that includes some things that are a little more obscure. A popular
application is task lights or other types of machinery which require a specific
size light to illuminate a certain area. These could be special types of
industrial machines or task lights, but mostly it's for illuminating areas which
are usually tight and are hard to reach. The F13T5 is really an older
form of technology and are being replaced by other fluorescent lights, but it
doesn't mean that there aren't many installations where they've been used.
