If you're looking for a special colored effect for certain spaces or areas,
then colored floods would be a great solution. While they're not unusual from
the standpoint of what they look like, most typically come in the BR30 or R20
shape, but there are a wide variety of colors. These flood bulbs are
available in red, green, pink, blue, amber and we have them from both Sylvania
and Westinghouse which give off a slightly different color. They come in a
couple of wattages in the BR30 which would be 65 or 75 watt and the R20 come in
a 50 watt. The colored bulbs from Westinghouse have an excellent coating,
probably the best in the industry. They fit almost anywhere, including the
eyeball fixtures which can turn in almost any direction. So when you want that
colored lighting effect for a party, special occasion or the Christmas holiday
season, you will be able to get the right color in the size fixture you have.
Remember that you can also combine some of these primary colors to get a whole
different color! We keep these in stock and are always available for these
special times of the year when a lighted color can make all the difference.
For most installations, they're used in recessed lighting and can be dimmed
with a standard incandescent dimmer. In many types of lighting
applications, the dimming capability is what makes it a wonderful choice for
special party occasions. The places where colored
flood light bulbs can be used are endless, which sometimes includes recessed downlights in a large party room or the track lighting in your home. If you're having
a Christmas party, our red and green bulbs will be an obvious choice and
add to the festive atmosphere. Many people use our amber and black lights for
Halloween, but there are many types of occasions which would be better served
with special colored flood lights. How about giving an extra boost to
an office party or a special birthday for the kids? Use your imagination and
make it something special!
Remember that there are many types of incandescent colored
bulbs including the most common types mentioned here. The brands we have are the Sylvania and Westinghouse versions.
Both provide good color, but there is a variance between them, so you have a
choice. Whatever
type you have, you will be getting a longer life incandescent than what you're
used to, getting the most colorful light available today. If you have a question on how to use party lighting and what type of
effect might be best, our customer service representatives can help you
determine how to accomplish your colored lighting objective.
