For many years, people have been trying to replace typical 75 watt R40
floodlights that they've been using in recessed or track lighting. Many
times people don't think about the various options there are to replace a it
with a halogen bulb. People often think they need to go to a smaller size
bulb or to something like a energy saving version of the same light, which
usually means a sacrifice in light output. Although they've been out for
quite some time, 45PAR38 lamps are the natural replacement choice in a halogen.
It's not as bright as some of the others, which means it will more closely match
what the 75 watt in light output. Why overpower your lighting scheme and
when all
you wanted to do is save energy. That's what makes this lamp the way to go
for people thinking about reducing their electrical bills. One of the most popular lamps that have been out on the market for decades has
been the 75R40 lamps. They are an incandescent source used in floodlighting
situations. But people
still wanted the same amount of light that they got from that lamp, so Sylvania
developed the 45PAR38 halogen bulb which gives the same amount of light
for 30 watts less. Capsylite is Sylvania's trade name for their 45PAR38 halogen
light bulbs.
For those of you who need a lower light output from a PAR38 halogen to match
what they have now, we offer this 45 watt version to replace the old 75R40 reflector floods. Though many
PAR38 bulbs are similar
from different manufacturers, we do believe that this product is superior for
its beam patterns and light output. Along with these superior aspects, the
Sylvania product has a 3000 hour average rated life which is usually more that
you get with other manufacturers. These have several beam spreads as well
including flood, spot, narrow spot, narrow flood and even a wide flood version.
This means that almost any application that you have can properly be retrofitted
to a halogen light source without overpowering your light output.
Like all halogen bulbs, the 45PAR38 halogen floods are filled with a special gas
that actually rebuilds the filament and provides longer life than normal
incandescent bulbs. These halogen bulbs are flood shaped with the heavy, thick
glass that is common to many large sized halogen bulbs. PAR stands for parabolic
aluminized reflector and this one is just shy of 5 inches in diameter. These
types of bulbs will provide you with a high light output, a more white-colored
light (a higher color temperature - approximately 3000K), and longer life than
normal R or BR reflectors. That is why the halogen are many times used in energy
saving lighting situations because they are more efficient in their light
production.
So whether you
need halogen, fluorescent or HID sources, we'll have the right bulb for your
need. In this case, we have the entire offering of Sylvania lamps
including the 45PAR38 halogen bulbs.
From security lighting to track lighting in retail stores, we have the right
kind of halogen for every purpose. Whatever type of lighting need you have, you will be
