Straight fluorescent light bulbs are common in large retail outlets and grocery stores. Of course, they are just as common in a small work area in someone's basement, too. They are versatile and bright, while using much less energy than standard light bulbs. They also come in a lot of colors, including warm white, cool white, daylight, and full spectrum.
