Ballasts make the magic happen. No really, they do! Fluorescent and HID lighting simply won't work without them. When it comes to replacing your ballast, making sure you get the right model is really important. Most often, you can search eLightBulbs with the information you read off of the old ballast to find the match. If you don't have that, then consider these three questions: 1) is this ballast for a fluorescent fixture or an HID fixture? 2) How many bulbs does it control? 3) Are there any special needs I have for this fixture? (i.e.: ultra-quiet, thinner size, etc.)
